Jackson’s Rusty Parrot Lodge will rise again. The Rusty Parrot was destroyed by fire last November 18th, at which time the owner-operator of the 4-diamond establishment pledged to rebuild. Rowland+Broughton Architecture / Urban Design / Interior Design was chosen as Architect for the design and rebuild of the hotel. Operator Brandon Harrison says, “Rowland+Broughton’s deep portfolio proved that they are capable of capturing the residential feel we wanted.” Plans for the new 50,500 square foot, three-level structure include 40 individually appointed guest rooms, public areas including a lobby, den, kitchen, restaurant, spa, garden courtyard and patio, and underground parking. Incorporating exterior materials such as log and stone will respect the original structure, and merge the surrounding landscape into the design. The hotel mascot, a rusty parrot sculpture, will once again take roost on the building. Pending reconstruction approval late 2020, reopening is anticipated late spring of 2022.
