Road to Recovery in Mammoth Hot Springs

The Mammoth Hot Springs area faced challenges after the 2022 flood. The North Entrance Road between Mammoth Hot Springs and Gardiner, Montana, was severely damaged, and a sewer line carrying wastewater was ruptured.

Temporary measures were implemented, rerouting the wastewater into percolation ponds to maintain services. However, a new wastewater treatment system has been built and is now operational, serving the Mammoth area. Once repairs are completed, the Mammoth Campground will also reopen.
