Legendary Jackson Hole resident “Captain” Bob Morris passed away yesterday at the age of 87.
Morris, the founder of KMTN Radio, was well known in the valley for promoting hitchhiking and encouraging the use of two-dollar bills, and for his sincere political positions on legalizing marijuana and opposing the black market.
Morris was a perennial candidate for elected office, running for federal and local office numerous times.
The former marine created KMTN in 1974 and officially saw it licensed 45 years ago this month.
