A retired army colonel from California plans to challenge Liz Cheney in next year’s Republican U.S. House primary in Wyoming. According to the Gillette News Record, Denton Knapp, of Trabuco Canyon, California, says he plans to move back to Gillette, where he graduated from high school in 1983. Not including Knapp, five Republicans had filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission as of Monday stating their intent to run against Cheney in 2022.
