Children’s Museum Has Temporary Digs

The Jackson Hole Children’s Museum will be getting a new home – at least temporarily. During their recent Regular Meeting, the Teton County School District Board of Trustees approved the lease of two of the modular buildings on the Jackson Elementary School campus to the Museum. The former elementary classrooms will provide a home for the Jackson Hole Children’s Museum for the next year, with the option to renew the lease for an additional year. JHCM will use one of the buildings as a museum, and the other as classroom and office space. The museum’s current building is to be replaced by a 23-unit workforce housing complex by the summer of 2019. Children’s Museum Executive Director, Jean Lewis calls the annex buildings an ideal location, and says they will allow the museum to continue serving the families and children of the community through engaging play and learning experiences, and out-of-school programming
