The Town of Jackson is currently conducting a parking study of the downtown area. City officials explain that the goal of the study is to develop forward-thinking management strategies that maximize the efficiency of the current available parking, improve the parking and mobility options for visitors, employees, and residents, and identify solutions that balance town character, land use, transit, and parking operations within its physical and financial constraints. The purpose of the brief questionnaire is to provide the community with an opportunity to share experiences, perceptions, ideas and concerns related to accessing businesses and residential areas located within Downtown Jackson. The Study Area is is referred to throughout the questionnaire as “Downtown Jackson”. Officials say the survey should take less than 15 minutes to complete, and all information collected will be kept confidential and reported only in aggregate.
