The Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department released an employer survey last week and is asking the local business community to provide some answers.
The survey is designed for organizations who want to team up with other employers to secure stable housing stock for their employees.
Department Director April Norton said,“The Housing Action Plan directs us to work with interested parties to catalyze an employee housing cooperative for employers who want to provide units but cannot develop housing on their own,”
Norton said that the Housing Department will serve as a clearinghouse, identifying complementary housing needs and resources, and connecting those employers with one another.
The first step for this work is the employer survey that seeks to identify housing needs and any resources employers may be able to offer for a project. In early May, the Housing Department will host a series of “round table” discussions with employers in an effort to discover partnership opportunities.
The survey is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MNYFQG3. Responses are due by April 12, 2019.
