The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Joint Powers Board, along with its advertising agency Colle McVoy,is launching a new phase of the STAY WILD campaign to include sustainability initiatives targeted to visitors and locals alike.
Join members of the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board Wednesday, September 12, at 8 a.m. to learn about the STAY WILD winter campaign and its sustainability initiatives, including a new STAY WILD canvas grocery bag that will be distributed FREE to all in attendance (see attached photo). Bags will also be handed out to visitors as they deplane at the Jackson Hole Airport.
“In anticipation of a potential plastic bag ban in Teton County, the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board wanted to assist in town and county efforts to reduce plastic, but also educate visitors on the valley’s sustainable initiatives,” said Brian Modena, JHTTB board member and marketing chair. The bag includes a detailed illustration by local artist Tim Tomkinson on various activities and amenities in our valley, along with a rally cry to visitors and locals to Keep Jackson Hole Wild to ensure that its wonder never fades.
Other campaign initiatives include signage placed at the airport and a URL, visitjacksonhole.com/sustainability, that outlines the priorities and sustainable efforts currently taking place in our valley. Look for more campaign elements to come later this year.
The Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Joint Powers Board is a volunteer board appointed by the Jackson Town Council and Teton County Board of Commissioners to oversee the use of the tourism promotion funds appropriated by the lodging tax.
