The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 8 PM MDT this
evening.
Low humidity, and hot temperatures could cause new fire starts and erratic fire behavior.
West to southwest winds will blow at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph
Temperatures will be in the lower 80s.
The Haines index is a 6 meaning or high potential for large plume
dominated fire growth.
Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
