Teton County is seeking permission from the Town of Jackson to use a building on the fairgrounds to replace one that the town is tearing down.
The existing exhibit hall and community center at the Teton County Fairgrounds is set to be demolished sometime in Fall 2022 to make room for the Flat Creek Apartments affordable housing development.
As a result, Teton County is seeking to relocate the use north across the street to the existing Pavilion building.
That building had temporarily housed the Jackson Fire Station until it moved back to Pearl Street earlier this year.
The Jackson Town Planning Commission supported a Conditional Use Permit to allow the use and the Town Council will weigh in on the issue at an upcoming meeting.
