Teton County High School’s Mascot Committee presented the District 401 school board with a report on their activity so far and proposed new images for the school mascot. Among the points outlined is that a period for mascot nominations would be open from the entire community between February 18ththrough the 28th, the committee would go through them and narrow them to no more than 10, and ultimately place those before the students to determine their choice. A final choice would have to be made by about April 10th. Once the new mascot is determined, the committee is calling for a formal retirement ceremony at next fall’s homecoming and the unveiling of the new mascot at that time. A trophy case would also be placed in the high school to commemorate the achievements of the school in their years as redskins.
