Faced with rising costs and the ever-present challenge of a lack of volunteers, the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club has cancelled the 2023 Pole Peddle Paddle Event. They say that a lack of participation has forced them to reassess the future of PPP.
The Ski Club says they are hoping to take this year to revamp, reorganize and revitalize this iconic community tradition, founded in 1975. They hope a year off will send a call to action for those that want to see the PPP return in the future.
They said that 2023 will see the return of the Moose Chase Nordic Ski Race,
Two other local river focused non-profits, Snake River Fund and Jackson Hole Kayak Club have expressed interest in bringing the PPP back for 2024.
