The Teton County Commissioners approved their meeting schedule for 2023. Getting a jump on the new year, the board released its schedule for the coming year beginning with a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 3rd.
The county has two kinds of meetings. Regular meetings where normal business before the county is conducted and voucher meetings. Voucher meetings are generally where the commission approves payments from Teton County to various vendors.
The first Teton County meeting in 2023 is a combination of a regular and a voucher meeting and is also set as the for the first meeting of new county commissioner Wes Gardner.
State law requires meeting schedule
Wyoming state law requires counties to meet in their county seats at least once per calendar month but allows local officials to set the schedule.
Commissioners have set 24 regular meeting dates for next year.
The group will also meet as the Board of Equalization to hear matters of property tax assessments.
