Staff Shortage Forces Temporary Suspension of Recycling Services
Due to staffing shortages at the Recycling Center, Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR) will temporarily suspend recycling services at the Teton Village and Spring Gulch community sites beginning on Friday, July 7. This closure is necessary but temporary, with the intention of reopening both sites as soon as possible.
Teton County is suffering the same issues of many tourist towns and businesses in what has become a nationwide trend. This, combined with the cost and lack or workforce housing has made the issue difficult to solve.
Proper Recycling Procedures
During this period of staff shortages in Teton County, remember not to deposit recyclables at the closed sites, as they will not be serviced. Instead, residents should bring their recyclables to the Recycling Center located at 3270 S. Adams Canyon Road in Jackson. This central location ensures that recyclables will be properly processed and handled.
Alternative Local Recycling Sites
In addition to the Recycling Center, alternative community recycling sites are available for public use. These locations include the Rodeo Grounds Parking Lot, Recreation Center, Albertsons Lot, The Aspens, and Hoback Junction. Residents can conveniently utilize these sites to continue their recycling efforts and responsibly dispose of their materials. By cooperating during this period, Teton County ISWR can uphold the momentum of recycling efforts and contribute to a sustainable future.
